Chemical Anchor Bolts
Product Overview
Chemical anchor bolts are high-performance post-installed anchor systems consisting of a resin or capsule adhesive, threaded bar or stud, washers and nuts. Gldiamond’s anchors are engineered for the dynamic and cyclic loads typical of rail systems and industrial rails (stacker cranes, gantries, track rails), and are available in galvanized steel or stainless steel hardware to suit different site environments and corrosion requirements.
Key value proposition
Optimized for rail track vibration and cyclic loads: purpose-tuned for “long-term anti-loosening.”
Proven on rail and steel-structure projects — field-tested and load-verified.
One-stop procurement: anchors + compatible steel backing plates + rail processing parts to simplify supply chain and shorten project lead times.
Core advantages for rail applications
Designed for dynamic loads: formulations and embedment details selected to resist loosening and maintain clamp force under repetitive vibration.
High installation reliability: consistent chemical bonding even in drilled concrete—reducing rework and post-construction reinforcement scope.
Durability in-service: hardware options (hot-dip galvanized or A4 stainless steel) for long-term corrosion resistance in indoor/outdoor environments.
System supply: single-source delivery of anchors, steel backing plates, washers, and nuts—reduces coordination effort.
Traceable QA: material certificates, pull-out/pull-through test reports and batch traceability available on request.
Typical applications
Rail fastening for stacker/reclaimer travel rails and warehouse crane rails
Bolting of steel backing plates for continuous rails or single plate fixings
Mounting of rail sleepers, baseplates, and support brackets on concrete foundations
Retrofit anchoring and post-construction reinforcement in rail depots and logistics facilities
Product variants & materials
Resin systems (adhesive): injectable epoxy, polyester-free vinylester, and capsule systems. (Selection depends on cracked/uncracked concrete, temperature, and installation environment.)
Threaded elements: Graded options — galvanized steel (e.g., class equivalent to ASTM A307/ISO grade per spec), or stainless steel (A2/A4 equivalents). Custom grades available on request.
Hardware: Hardened washers and hex nuts (matched to thread grade), standard and oversized head options for plate seating.
Packaging: single-use capsules, cartridge + static mixer, or pre-measured cartridges with dispensing tools.

Installation guide
Drill hole to specified diameter and embedment depth. Use correct drill bit and check hole condition.
Clean hole thoroughly with blow-out and brushing per procedure (typically 3× blow & brush). Cleanliness critical to performance.
Prepare resin: for capsule systems, insert capsule then set rod; for cartridge systems use static mixer and ensure continuous flow before application.
Inject resin / insert capsule to fill to required level (usually start from hole bottom).
Insert threaded bar / stud with controlled rotation to evenly distribute resin. Align to required datum.
Allow cure time per manufacturer’s temperature-dependent cure schedule (do not load prematurely).
Fit washers & nuts and torque to specified values. For high-vibration applications, use locking nuts or additional anti-loosen measures.
Record batch/lot & installation data for traceability (include resin batch, bar heat number, hole number, installer, date & ambient conditions).
Safety & environment notes: Follow MSDS for resin systems. Avoid installations below minimum substrate temperature or with wet/contaminated holes unless system is qualified for such conditions.
FAQs
Q: Why choose chemical anchors vs mechanical anchors for rail rails?
A: Chemical anchors provide full-depth bonding and distribute loads across the surrounding concrete, reducing stress concentrations and performing well under repeated dynamic loads; they also avoid the need for expansion behind thin plates.
Q: Can chemical anchors resist the vibration of stacker cranes?
A: Yes — when correctly specified (resin type, embedment depth, and stainless/galvanized hardware) and installed per procedure, they offer durable clamp force retention under cyclic loads. We also offer cyclic testing to validate performance.
Testing, performance verification & QA
Pull-out and pull-through tests: performed in representative concrete and plate conditions; reports available.
Cyclic/vibration testing: where required for rail projects, we conduct cyclic load verification to demonstrate retention of clamp force under repeated load.
Material certificates: chemical composition and mechanical properties provided for all steel components.
Factory QC: batch sampling, dimensional checks and lot traceability.
On-site validation: project acceptance tests can be arranged (witnessed pull tests).
