CRANE HOOK
Design, Materials, and Safety Guidelines for Crane Hook Set
A crane hook set is a widely used lifting attachment in heavy machinery. It is typically suspended from the hoisting system’s wire rope by means of roller skates and related components. The assembly primarily consists of the hook, a movable pulley, the pulley shaft, and bearings.
Given the significant forces and impacts encountered during operation, these sets are built from high-performance materials with excellent toughness. High-quality carbon steel is commonly employed to ensure the necessary durability and reliability.
For safe operation, it is essential to adhere to proper loading protocols. Do not lift objects unless their weight has been adequately reduced and confirmed to be within the safe working limits of the equipment. Additionally, never attempt to lift objects if people are on or near them or if any safety device is malfunctioning.
Gldiamond supplies our customers with high-quality crane hook products, complemented by dedicated, custom-made services.
CRANE HOOK BLOCK
The crane hook block is a core component of lifting equipment, designed with a modular structure to accommodate either single-hook or dual-hook configurations, with load capacities ranging from 3 to 180 tons.
The main body is forged from high-quality carbon steel, ensuring exceptional strength and impact resistance. Each hook is equipped with a safety locking device to prevent accidental detachment, and the pulley system features a design with diameters significantly larger than that of the wire rope, markedly extending rope life.
The dual-hook configuration optimizes stress distribution to enhance load efficiency, while replaceable protective pads at the hook mouth minimize wear from friction.
FORGED CRANE HOOK
Forged crane hooks are manufactured from high-strength alloy steel using precision forging techniques to ensure consistent grain flow aligned with the hook geometry.
Available in single-hook, dual-hook, and eye-hook variants, these hooks support load capacities ranging from 10 to 400 tons and are suitable for applications in metallurgy, port operations, and machinery manufacturing.
All hooks undergo rigorous ultrasonic and magnetic particle inspections to ensure a smooth, defect-free surface, with a safety factor exceeding three times the static load. The forged eye-hook is treated with an anti-slip coating and can be customized to meet specific lifting requirements, while the symmetrical dual-hook design effectively disperses stress to enhance stability during high-tonnage operations.
Manufactured in strict accordance with GB 10051 standards—with welding repairs of defects strictly prohibited—these hooks ensure long-term reliable performance and are equipped with anti-detachment locking mechanisms. They are extensively used in bridge cranes, port handling equipment, and similar heavy-duty lifting scenarios.
C-COIL HOOK
The C-Coil hook is specifically engineered for the horizontal lifting of coils and is manufactured from high-strength low-alloy steel, with load capacities ranging from 1.2 to 40 tons.
Its unique C-shaped design enables both vertical and horizontal lifting of coils based on the coil’s inner diameter.
This hook is equipped with a rotatable hook head and a torque balancing system to ensure load stability during operation. The hook body is lined with a polyurethane protective pad to prevent damage to coil edges, and a specially designed guide arm facilitates precise positioning.
Customization options are available, including narrow gauge, high-temperature resistant models, and variants with integrated weighing sensors, to meet the specific requirements of steel mills and logistics centers. All C-Coil hooks are subjected to dynamic load testing to ensure safe operation throughout their service life.
