Rail Pads

Are also called rail rubber pads. They are elastic buffer components used in railway track systems. They are usually installed between rails and sleepers (or rail plates) to reduce shock, and noise and protect the rail system. They are made of high-strength rubber or composite materials and have good elasticity, wear resistance, and anti-aging properties.

The main functions of rail pads

Buffering and shock absorption: Absorb the impact force generated when the train or equipment is running, and reduce the loss of rails and sleepers.

Noise reduction and vibration isolation: Effectively reduce the vibration generated when the train or equipment passes, reduce the damage to the equipment caused by vibration and thus increase the service life of the equipment.

Protect sleepers: Prevent rails from directly contacting sleepers and reduce sleeper damage caused by concentrated pressure.

Increase friction: Provide appropriate friction to prevent rails from sliding horizontally or vertically during equipment travel.
Electrical insulation: In electrified railways or subways, rubber pads can also play a certain insulating role to prevent current from interfering with the signal system.
