TG38 Rail Clamp, produced and supplied by Glory Rail, is a specialized 38kg/m orbit welding – type fixed component. Designed for securing P38 rails, it plays a crucial role in railway and industrial rail systems. Comprising a base, press plate, adjusting plate, and bolts, this clamp ensures stable rail installation with reliable performance.
Installation Prerequisites
- The installation of the rail clamp must be carried out after the adjustment of the lifting surface steel beam is completed.
- The crane steel beam must meet the requirements of the “Code for Construction and Acceptance of Steel Structure Engineering” (GBJ205 – 83) and current steel structure codes.
- The rail clamp should be installed before the rail installation.
- The surface of the crane beam before the installation of the rail clamp must be finished and meet the requirements of current regulations.
- Before installing the rail clamp, the rail joints should be connected, and the deviation of rail joints and side bends should meet the requirements of the “Code for Steel Structure Engineering and Acceptance” (GBJ205 – 83). For rails with allowable deviations, they must be calibrated and constructible.
- The welding of the bottom plate control board and the steel hanging beam should meet the design requirements.
Installation Sequence and Essentials
- Welded Fixed Base: Use a fixed base with three grooves on the surface and the center position of the rail presser. The allowable deviation of the position from the centerline of the crane beam is ±1.0mm.
- Insert T – bolts: Put in T – bolts and push them in the direction of the rails.
- Install Adjusting Plate: Put in the wedge – shaped adjusting plate, make the notched surface upward.
- Assemble Components: Install rail pressure plate, washers, spring washers, and nuts in sequence.
- Adjust Position: Move the wedge – shaped adjustment plate to adjust the position of the rail clamp perpendicular to the rail. When the rail clamp is tightly compressed with the lower flange of the rail, tighten the nut.
- Consider Welding Influence: The influence of welding the fixed plate on the disturbance change of the crane beam should be considered during design or construction.

Material & Performance Requirements
Component Materials
The track pressure plate, fixed bottom plate, and wedge – shaped adjusting plate are made of Q235 or Q345 steel castings. For casting carbon steel, the surface roughness allows 64114 – 86M “casting size tolerance” CT6 level requirements.
Bolt and Torque Specifications
Q235 Bottom Plate: T – bolt is Grade C, maximum tightening torque is 150N.M, and maximum lateral force per wheel pressure is 45KN.
Q345 Bottom Plate: T – bolt is 8.8 grade, maximum tightening torque is 220N.M, and maximum lateral force per wheel pressure is 55KN.
Washer and Welding Requirements
The washer is a steel washer with a performance level of 100HV.
The welding model of the base of the fixed part and the crane beam should match the material of the connecting part. For example, use E4315 welding rod for Q235 steel and E5015 welding rod for Q345 steel.

Ordering Instructions
Reduced – type Rail Clamp: Mainly used for fixing horizontal wheel crane rails, with an elevation of 70mm (large) after installation.
General Requirements: The technical conditions and installation requirements of the overall production are the same as those of the welded rail clamp.
