ISCOR 40 kg/m Rail
Product Overview
ISCOR 40 kg rail in Grade 900a is a heavy-duty profile designed for higher-stress industrial tracks, small freight corridors and terminal spurs. Grade 900a provides increased strength and wear resistance compared with lighter grades, making this rail suitable where heavier axle loads or extended life between renewals are required.

Material & metallurgy
Grade 900a rails are produced from rail-grade steels formulated for elevated strength and improved wear resistance. Production includes controlled secondary metallurgy and thermal processing options (normalizing, quench & temper where specified) to achieve the required balance of toughness and surface hardness.
Key benefits
-
Higher load capacity: better suited to heavier axle loads and more intensive duty cycles.
-
Improved wear resistance: extended head life between reprofiling/renewal operations.
-
Robust for terminals: ideal for port spurs, transfer yards and industrial heavy-handling tracks.
-
Flexible processing: factory cut-to-length, precision drilling, end preparations and optional heat treatment.
-
Traceable QA: each lot supplied with MTC; third-party inspection and supervised loading available.
Processing & delivery options
-
Cut-to-length: standard step 50 mm; cold-sawn finish available.
-
Hole drilling & end preparation: performed in-plant per customer drawings.
-
Surface protection: anticorrosion coating and protective packing for container or break-bulk shipment.
-
Heat treatment: optional quench & temper / normalization to meet project requirements.
