60R2 Rail
Product Overview
The 60R2 rail (also called Ri 60-R13 / Ri 60 N R ) is a heavy-duty grooved rail profile defined under EN 14811:2006 (European standard) and widely used in urban light rail systems, particularly for tramways and integrated street-running transit networks. It shares similarities with the 59R2 rail but offers enhanced load-bearing capacity and precision engineering for high-traffic urban environments.

Applications
Urban Tram Systems
Primary use in street-running trams, where rails are embedded in road surfaces .
Supports trams with speeds up to 70 km/h and passenger capacities of 200–300 .
Light Rail Transit (LRT)
Deployed in dedicated LRT lines (e.g., Dublin Luas) for efficient, low-noise urban transport.
Compatible with rubber-tyred or steel-wheeled vehicles .
High-Speed Trams
Specifically designed for high-speed urban trams, offering smoother operation and reduced vibration compared to 59R2 rails .
Heritage Railways
Used in narrow-gauge heritage lines for heavy steam locomotives.
